Cuddle A Critter

Step onto the Nordic Roots Homestead and leave the stress of daily life at the gate. Our Cuddle a Critter experience invites you to slow down and connect with friendly farm animals in a peaceful, natural setting. From petting playful goats to giving belly rubs to our potbelly pigs, each moment offers a dose of pure joy.

Animal interaction has been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, and provide a sense of calm — making this experience perfect for families, couples, or anyone in need of a little extra sunshine in their day. Whether you’re seeking a mindful escape, a hands-on learning opportunity, or simply a reason to smile, Cuddle a Critter is your invitation to pause, connect, and soak up the simple happiness animals bring.

Enjoy a farm tour, learn what we do on our homestead and shop our farm store. To give you an idea of what’s available to cuddle we have 4 miniature donkeys, 3 cows, 7 potbelly pigs, 4 goats (ready to kid in September), we also have an array of bird breeds including ducks, geese, peafowl, turkeys, chickens, and some game bird breeds as well. And of course our livestock guardian dogs (extremely friendly) that wander the yard and some very friendly barn cats. 

1 hour sessions: $25 per person (max 10 people per group). Kids under 7 are free but must have gentle hands. Treats/Feed are $5 per bag. 

We are a working farm and follow strict biosecurity measures so critter cuddles will be happening outside away from animal pens… Please make sure you are dressed appropriately for the weather with close-toed shoes.
